After a bit of a lie in (Henry slept for about 14 hrs we reckon) we set off to 7 mountains, Pennsylvania via Canton, Ohio.
Rog started off driving, and as it was his first time driving in the US (or recently at all) we had a few practice laps of the parking lot before setting off. Waheeeey! no accidents! so we hit the open road.
We had lunch in a nice diner in Canton where Sam and Henry were introduced to quesadillas. Rog and I were left wondering where they’ve been living for the past 23 years.
Then we parked at the NFL Hall of Fame. It was fairly pricey so only Sam and I went in, Rog and Henry walked in the direction of a nearby shop to get supplies for the evening.
The NFL HOF was sweet! We learned about the history of the football all the way from it’s humble beginnings to when Cleveland and Detroit were powerhouses of the game to today’s modern league. We saw memorabilia from some of the greatest ever to play the game, and the busts of all those inducted into the hall.
They had a very hype 20 minute film presention that chronicled the 2015 season with the road to the playoffs and Denver’s eventual victory over Carolina in superbowl 50. All in all we really enjoyed it and wished we could have stayed longer.
As it was, we went to pick up the others who had found all the necessities for the campground. Of course when we went to check out we found that they only took cash and discover card (wtf), and their atm was broken. So we had to hunt down an atm and come back. Nice one Ohio.
By the time we sorted all this we were running behind, so we did not arrive at our campsite until after dark. We proceeded to set up the tent and cook dinner which actually went surprisingly well! Tuna pasta anyone?
The next morning the nice lady running the place gave us access to a cabin as we were practically the only ones there. After packing up, we were off the New York!
